The fifth of five presentations from CertainTeed Building Solutions on The Science of Specifying Moisture and Mold Control in Framed Wall Assemblies.
This course focuses on those factors that contribute to both the presence and absence of moisture, and hence mold, in framed wall assemblies. It also reviews both the principles and practices that designers should be aware of when designing framed wall assemblies so that they can minimize the problems of moisture and mold. The course goes into detail on both the structural factors that pertain to preventing moisture problems in framed wall assemblies, and the advantages and disadvantages of eight kinds of wall sheathing substrates.
